I greased the hindges today. The tip gun was for greasing the motor assemblies. The gate company only knows how to replace motors. I have been replacing the thrust washers, and lubricating the gears. The washers fail because the motors fill with water. The washers rust and don't maintain their hardness. The needle bearings do the same. The gate people never service the motors. They just drive by and yell at the spiders in the control box, and send you a bill. I got tierd of their attidude. I drilled ports in the gear casings, and can check for water. Then use to gun to add grease.

Can you seal the motors or put a "roof" over them? :)
I sealed the assemblies getting ready for the rains. I'll remove the plugs I made and check for moisture occasionally. Rich
Something I learned from squirrles is that if I eat upside down, I am not going to drop food on my clothes. This may not be good for all things. Rich
