Karl was 97, so it probably wasn't too unexpected.
.... and they've called off the search for Glenn Miller too ...
Mollie Sugden died on July 1st too. For those who don't recognise the name, she was "Mrs. Slocombe" in "Are You Being Served"
For those that follow American football. Steve McNair, former NFL player was found shot to death today in Nashville Tennessee.
Steve was a great humanitarian. He was involved in many areas of the community. He will be greatly missed.
I've renamed this thread 'R.I.P' as the focus has moved to other recently departed.
(Oddly, vBulletin won't allow all upper case RIP for the title, no matter how I enter it  - will investigate)
OK - fixed the setting which caused this :)
That pretty much blew me away, Steve. I looked that the name of this thread ... then the author, and wondered, "what the hell!" I'm glad you added your note about renaming the thread. (It seems appropriate.) :)
How many people died on the day that Michael Jackson (and others mentioned) died? How many deserve significant mention? How many fine folk did we never get the opportunity to know or understand?
And, how many more died today?
I just heard about Steve McNair, Im waiting to see the news story on what happened.
@ Cursor , it is very sad that we lose anyone, and usually we only here about the famous people. But as you said we lose a lot of special people everyday.
