http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif Thanks John! Sometimes we get some wonderful colors here in the evenings --- but they are rare, there's far more of the foggy drizzly stuff (even right now it is grey and raining here http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif).

Boy this looks intersting! going to have to try and stay awake for this one on July 4th.
Blast a Hole in a Comet
and its raining again.

Maybe I can get a sunset shot tonight, if the sky cooperates.

http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif Well here's an early sunrise over the Graylodge marshland in Sacramento, Calif. Yes, complete with duckies.... http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

...and here's one from one of my New Zealand vacations -- from Moeraki Beach, winter evening rain approaching...

http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif The first one reminds me of some sort of ghostly phenomenon...kinda neat, you never know what you'll come up with just experimenting! the spectrums of various types of lights is interesting also -- just by looking through a spectrometer = spectroscopic analysis (a cheap cardboard one can be found at science supply sources like Edmund Scientific) light sources' chemistry can be determined as their chemical properties have unique signatures shown in the color spectrum...it's how the chemical composition of stars and our sun has been determined.
The sunset you got tonight is cool too, Mike! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
