Gosh - I only get a fan!?

Oh...if you get a fan:
1. Use Selector Tool
2. Hold Control Key down
3. Click on one of the original lines
4. Switch to Shape Editor Tool
5. Click the Reverse Paths icon on the infobar.
I knew that.........:o
We'll be putting Rorschach tests out of business with this technique :p
John,
Is that the opening scene of "Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat" - I can see a person with his/her arms outstretched, on a stage with a catwalk.
Or am I wrong?
Here I was thinking it resembled the "Monster from the ID" in the Forbidden Planet movie. :)
Either way it is done very well. http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/icons/icon14.gif
Wasn't meant to be 'Joseph' or any particular monster, though if Jung is correct it is SOMETHING I ought to worry about
**EDIT**Thank you Bill and Keith :)
Ahhhhh!
Thanks Bill.
A combination of Bill's reverse paths tip and Frank's rotated object tip in this thread.
Cosmic! :)
Thanks for the de-fanning tip, Bill.
Saludos,
Bob.
I don't know if it's just me, but when I try the de-fanning tip, it only works when I use reverse path on the second line I drew.
I Drew a vertical first, then a horizontal. If I use reverse path on the vertical line, nothing changes. When I use it on the horizontal line, it works like a charm.
Until Bill's explanation, I never even knew what that icon did.
Thanks, Bill...

Bill - Thanks for the tip. Will put it to work. I take it the two lines have to be kept apart. Will try otu. Thanks
Frances - Nasty looking fish :D Very good drawing. Like the water.:)
Some great stuff done by everyone using this technique. Well done.
This is becoming seriously addictive :D Must make a booking at the rehab;)
Sammy
Sledger has started something here, the trouble is the options are endless.
How long is a bit of string?
I started with a cross and progressively worked on it to get the end shape.
Rupert
Still doodling. More strings attached.:)
Saludos,
Bob.
Blended lines (strings) can be addictive. :)
Another StringThing - a product of late-night addictodoodling :)
Phoenix - kind of :p
Nocturnal StringBirds - probably short-tailed Lyre Birds .... lyre .... strings .... geddit?
Sorry :o
Last one ... for now!:p
The lyre birds look like robins, John.
Something to work on for the Christmas season?
Saludos,
Bob.
John, your birds for some reason looks like an underwater scene to me. How about making some jellyfish.
Judi
StringThing - Jellyfish :)
Sorry to bogart the thread - I'll get bored in time ;)
Quickie :)
Here's another old one from me...
This is a combination of string art and blended ellipses.
