Thanks for the tips
I used the duplicate function after setting the duplicate spacing in the settings tab as per PMgwpriester advice.
Now I have a new problem
My aim is to get a few transparent labels printed with the base colour in black or some other blocking colour and have the lines the transparent bit. eg slots to let the light through at those lines.
See image.
But I'm stuck on how to cut the slots out of the black solid so when I send it to be printed they will just print the black parts. I have tried every combination of cutting and combining and transparencies I can think of. But to no avail.
Slicing of 2 blocks works as I want but as soon as I try it with the bunch of lines it cuts the wrong parts or more accurately just cuts the big block in half.
Thanks

think you will need to use 'convert line to shape' first [you can select all the lines and do it in one go] before you do the cutting/combining/transparency
it's on the arrange menu
Just expanding on HD's method.
