Re: Three states of squirrel feeding.
Great photos Bill, the last one in the series made me laugh (good captions). We used to have a squirrel who would rest like this with all four legs down and on his belly, on top of our wooden fence, looked really funny.
I used to enjoy watching their antics especially the baby squirrels, although we lost a bit of our sense of humour when they decided to chew their way into our loft space (luckily though we had plenty of chicken wire).
Regards
Su
Re: Three states of squirrel feeding.
Thanks Larry and Su.
This particular squirrel does eat very much, my Mom and I have nicknamed him Box Robber. I had filled the feeder with corn, sunflower seeds, and peanuts that morning. He ate most of it himself then needed to rest.
Fortunately none of the squirrels around here have shown any interest in entering the loft. Most return to their nest near the pond before sundown. Box Robber is always the last to leave.

A candidate for www.cuteoverload.com?
Let's hope that Risto is not lurking around somewhere. You remember how he felt about squirrels.;))
Re: Three states of squirrel feeding.
Thanks Gary. The link is great, so many cute little four legged friends. :D
I remember Risto's opinion of squirrels, so I put the word in the title as a precautionary warning of the content. ;)

this one is brilliant, it's how i feel so often, if people say "how are you today" i should just say "squirrel", lol

Hi ahmedkadora, my photo is a Grey Squirrel which is native to most of the United States. A Chipmunk is small striped squirrel http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chipmunk. The Grey Squirrel is approximately 3 times the size of a chipmunk.
Re: Three states of squirrel feeding.
Hi Frank, I know what it is like to feel that way myself. I wish I could regain strength as quickly as my little friend, he rests no longer than 60 seconds.
Re: Three states of squirrel feeding.
well, he's a cool little feller as far as i'm concerned :)
