Aw, come on, you used a plugin didn't ya!
I don't use pluggins, the tools used are, shape tool, pencil tool, transparencies, mould tool, blend tool and extrude just for break discs, because it's easier to manage the perspective and reflections, and bevel for 3 little pieces because my patient had collapsed and I wanted to finish, that's all.
Frank, I'm not sure if any of the tools mentioned is a pluggin, I don't usually use bevel tool, I preffer to challenge my self and draw the shapes, but you know few times I get tired and use it.
A great detail i'm forgotting, there are several self made brushes, I think that is toghether with blend two of my best friends.
As I use a lot of blends the program hanged up many many times, above all when I zoomed in, it got me crazy.
I made several backups of the file and protect myself of redrawing all every time Xara hangs up.
The same happens when I use clipview and intersect shapes with it, in this drawing I'm almost sure I don't use clipview to avoid that problem, instead I use a lot of CTRL +3.
Please, if any of the tools is a pluggin let me know it (just to know)
Best regards.
Re: The bike of my dreams
Personally I don't give a hoot if you used any Xara or third party 'plugins' somewhere in that drawing. It (the plugin) didn't jump up and draw the entire bike for you - the effort was all yours and Javier it's an outstanding effort by whatever means you used. Again - well done. But let's not make this another thread about plugins right ;)
Yes Xtreme can become very sluggish when you over burden it with many blends. Often I will create a high dpi bitmap copy of the blended object and dump the vector object.
Re: The bike of my dreams
agree - an excellent drawing Javier - very well done

It was irony. I know you didn't use a plugin. I know you didn't need to use a plugin.
Re: The bike of my dreams
irony is like a [cartoon] boomerang Frank - if it doesn't hit target on the way out, it hits you on the way back
[editorial - I insert the word cartoon here as I have no idea if this is how a boomerang actually works in reality ...:D]

No Frank, distorting what others say is not the best way to communicate, never mind find a friends, you know. ;)
So I will clarify - there are people here who say that it requires talent no matter if you use plug-ins or not. :D
Great work Jvila! :)
Re: The bike of my dreams
People,
I really thank your comments they fill me of proud.
This drawing has a lot of parts from you, before this drawing I have received many advices when I need help to know how to do something.
I am aware that it would be imposible if you are not here.
how could I achieve that if talkgraphics, xara xone and many youtube videos would not exist?.
I can remember the first tutorial I read, I can remember a lot of xar file you uploaded to show us how you achieved an effect.
What can I say more than, thank you very much.
I'm standing and clapping my hands.
Un abrazo y muchas gracias
Re: The bike of my dreams
Can someone tell me where to get this "Talent" plug-in?? I'd love to be able to do work half this good.
Well. 1/100th. :)

Sledger, great tip about the bitmap copy of the vector blend. I rarely do that because I forget but it will help keep my XX running faster.
