Many thanks for the pointer to Oberonplace. The script does exactly what I want.
I'm a bit dissapointed by the price, it's about a third of the cost of upgrading to X3. Do you know if X3 will round off the corners on text and shapes like the Oberonplace script does, would it be worth paying for the upgrade to X3 or better to buy the script?
Yes, that is the reason why you get more with the upgrade. You can download the trial also of X3 and see how you like it. Then you have convinced yourself which is the more practical. But X3 has more to like than the fillets, chamfers and scallops docker, there is a new crop tool, and when selecting nodes, you can change from a marquis to a freehand selection. I do think you have to apply the service packs to get the most out of it. But then you will have convinced yourself as to what is most useful.
