It seems all the 8Bf filters work in Pro, but they all worked in Xtreme, as well.
While this covers multitudes of awesome filters, it would be interesting if the new version also handles other formats. (I'm now wishing for this, since I don't personally know of a single non-8Bf plugin that does anything I'm interested in. I'm just curious.)

NeatImage works fine,
Cybia plugins work fine (freeware plugins),
Fotomatic plugins work fine (freeware plugins),
Corel Knockout works fine.

What's your impression of the Knockout plugin. Do you use it much and do you like it?

XtremePro uses Xtreme configuration info ... I think
When I installed XPRO, it appears it read my Xtreme settings for plugin locations, etc.
Even my last "File > Open" directory used in Xtreme before installing XPRO (which was on a network drive) was remembered.

Knockout is pretty useful to extract parts of images from their background. I use it frequently as it has some nice features.
You basically draw a shape inside the object you want to extract, then either let Knockout find out the outer edges itself or you draw them yourself.
Its a bit of work but the results are pretty good when you work on complex objects.
