It looks like it could be a three dimensional computer game, where you could rotate the sphere whilst controling the characters.

It looks like you didn't save it in True Colour. Is anyone besides me seeing a lot of concentric rings as if you didn't have your computer set to True Colour? <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
Deb -- You did not read Masque's message:

oh stub me believer</a>
I am not and have never claimed to be an expert on the differences between jpg and gif files. About the only thing I know is that the gif is always bigger. Logic would suggest that if it is bigger it will have more - not less - detail. Evidently logic doesn't apply here...

Can anyone tell me how to replace my Gif with a better(thank you Gary), JPEG.
also BCDEB wants the xar. file but at about 2mb. I think it's to large to post here(?)

good idea... either contact administrators of this forum (Gary, Ross etc.) or post the new jpg version here, then kindly ask them to replace it by a new one and clean the unnecessary post.
Bitmaps, yes. More a montage than drawing perhaps, but who has time to draw all that straw. It was one of a few images started earlier using CorelXara. I didn't have that much time to dabble then as my business was just starting and I was busy sharpening pencils, emptying waste paper baskets, making tea etc.
Now I'm a success, (Ha! - insert the laugh of Bart Simpsons teacher here), I have a little more time to experiment with the drawing potential of Xara.
I've attached another early CorelXara doodle. You may recognize the bush.
This seems to have ended up in the wrong place as it refers to a comment about another image of mine, spheres of (straw?), rising out of the water.

My goodness - I just saw a shrubbery floating in the air!

Masque,
You should be able to replace your gif with a jpg yourself. If you click on the "postcard & pencil" icon at the bottom right of your original posting it takes you to the ammend message page. At the bottom is "Edit the attachment for this message."
Just update your image with the new jpg.
bcdeb: As a rough rule of thumb use jpg for photographic type images and gifs for images with large areas of solid colour. Gifs are limited to a max of 256 colours, but can have a transparency, whilst jpgs can have 24bit colour, but don't have a transparency. The 3rd alternative would be a png, which can have 24 bit colour and transparency, but has a larger file size.

I settled for JPEG. The png file looked best but came in over 3mb which suprised me as the original xara file is under 2mb (just).
