Re: Xara Advertising
Yes, this is annoying. One cause at least seems to be associated with updating the program. To reproduce, go to help, update program. This causes the "follow us..." popup to appear for me before checking for updates, and when you next start xara, the "follow us on twitter etc." message appears again, even if you've previously selected "don't show me again". Doesn't seem to affect WD7 though.

Re: Xara Advertising
Happened again this morning.
Perhaps it would be an idea for Xara to remove this intrusion until they can figure out how to do it properly.

Re: Xara Advertising
I have to agree, Jimi - it's very unprofessional that this message cannot be killed...dead.

Re: Xara Advertising
I'm also having the same problem. I clicked the "do not show again" box time and time again, but it still comes back when I restart the program.
Not really a big deal if it were only a time or two, but the number of clicks are starting to add up to a real waste of time and effort.
Multiply that by the number of users with the same problem...

Re: Xara Advertising
I guess some people have a pretty stress free life if dismissing an advert is an issue.
I'm sure Xara will sort it out. It's hardly a Major problem.

Re: Xara Advertising
For me, it's an irritant.
Not a major problem, but..
An irritant, all the same!

Re: Xara Advertising
A major problem - no, an irritant - yes, a poor reflection on Xara/Magix - somewhat... and Paul, you are just having a stir. >:)
Saludos,
Bob.

Re: Xara Advertising
It just amazes me how people focus on a very small thing, a very small irritation, and make a big noise about it.

Re: Xara Advertising
Actually, it's not a small thing.
It's quite a big thing!
And who knows what a small irritation can develop in to? ;)
