Re: Novice Here: Applying shapes and textures.
The original SHAPE made in Xtreme can be COPIED right in Xtreme then pasted into 3D. The texture on the other hand must be exported from Xtreme as a jpg or gif or png and then when in 3D go to textures, locate it, and it should cover your already pasted shape.
Re: Novice Here: Applying shapes and textures.
Ive come to the conclusion my Xara 3D doesnt work properly. I copy my shape in Xtreme but it just wont paste into 3D. And the picture will not open from Texture options on my imported shape (as i cant paste it form 3D). lol..get your head round that...lol

Re: Novice Here: Applying shapes and textures.
Try a SIMPLE test. Just draw a square or a circle in Xtreme, Edit/Copy shape, go to 3D and use Edit/Paste.
Re: Novice Here: Applying shapes and textures.
Just done that...nothing happens. Strange that!
Re: Novice Here: Applying shapes and textures.
Can you copy and paste text from notepad to Word, for example?
Re: Novice Here: Applying shapes and textures.
Yes i can do that. So do you think its a problem with my Xara?
Re: Novice Here: Applying shapes and textures.
You need someone in here with more expertise in this matter than me. Sorry, I'm at a loss. :(
Re: Novice Here: Applying shapes and textures.
Upload the relevant files here - that's probably the only way we'll know whether it's you, your apps or your pooter.

Hi
Having had a play... I wonder if your Xtreme shape has too many points. The text is the main culprit. Without the text, it works fine.
