Hi
Sorry for the late reply guys.
I actually did as you suggested some time ago and double-clicked on the layer in the layers pallet but without success!!!
Jeff
As Steve (handrawn) suggests, it would be best if you could post
the problematical file here so we might be able to deduce exactly
what the problem is.

Bob.
If you zoom in on your text to say 400% and the text starts to brake up jaged edges that means the text layers have changed to standard layers and can not be edited
Hello
Yeah they are jagged edges when I zoom in. But i'm sure that this happens all the time whenever I zoom in on images in photoshop, even those before I edited them. Maybe i'm incorrect. But your response seems to give the correct answer.
Is there any way to modify this from a standard layer, or will I have to start again?
Thanks,
Jeff
I’m assuming that Photoshop works the same way as PSP, and that after saving as a .psd file,
the previously vectorised text is rasterised on reopening, hence the “jaggies”. Of course, the
image attached of the Xara version will show jaggies at it is posted here as a .jpg file.

Bob.
Yeah spot on Bob.
The image zoomed in at 400% showing the paint shop pro image in it's native file format is the one I am getting.
Jeff
In that case, Jeff, I don't think there's anything for it but to get
yourself a copy of Xara Xtreme. There's a free 15 day trial
available here. It will do most things to photos that Photoshop and
PSP do, except push pixels around with the clone brush/stamp tool.
Text on photos is so easy, and the effects you can create are at least
as good as the above-mentioned programs, the price is good too.
Saludos,
Bob.
Thanks for that Bob.
I'll have a look.
