What do you mean by stroke?
I'm sure you don't mean that a line is applied to the text?

for the life of me i can't see what text property has been altered for "menu 01" or "menu 02". if, in options, you have give new objects most recent attributes selected...copy the "menu 03" text (the one that shows going down to outlines) and then type any text using any font it works. copy either "menu 01" or "menu 02" text and try the same (type something, any font) and it doesn't show going down to outlines. there's an altered attribute that i can't seem to find
also if you copy menu 03 and then select either menu 01 or 02 and just paste format/attributes it works fine then....and vice-versa
That's why I asked what MVMusic meant that a stroke has been applied.
I can't see any differences?
I mean a stroke shape or profile as opposed to straight or default line

The essential issue arising here is that the Stroke Shape should have no effect on text where is the Line Width is 0 or None.
Acorn
If the shape or text has a stroke other than the default one, and the width is set to 0, you won't see the outline.
If the text or shape has the default stroke you will see the outline even if the width is set to 0
It could be a bug or just the inner workings...
A 'constant' stroke is the default line surely? In earlier versions it was called a 'normal' line, but basically they are the same default lines. Perhaps this is confusing the import filters?
EDIT: It's confusing me :)
YES! That works Rik, but I can't understand when the stroke was introduced?
