Re: Would like My Logo to be 3D But not Working out
OK. I am assuming that you want the logo redrawn in Xara. Which can be done, quite easily.
But, 'easily' is a relative term.
I'll have a go at it, for you.
But, you'll have to start learning, sooner or later. And the sooner, the better.
And I understand completely when you say, "I don't mind learning this, BUT, Give me a Computer to work on or build and I'm "
But, you're still going to have to learn.

On the age old TG rule we won't do it for you but always willing to show you how, here's how I'd go about re-creating your star:

Hi Egg, thank you very much for that excellent video. I learnt more in ten minutes than I did in the last 3 months of playing around.
Ciao

Rik I thank you for your assistance, and I appreciate it very much, I was not expecting nor was I ever looking for you or anyone to make it for me and if that is how I came off I do humbly apologize.
I guess I should have been much more clear in my posts, I was just trying to find out how to go about doing it, and yes I am trying to learn as best as I can. I have been working on other Logos and even completed and had it copyrighted already, well two versions of the same logo, to be printed on Tee shirts & other types of clothing, even had one made in to a patch, but these were very simple designs. Good Golly Molly, I can't believe it, after watching the video you made you have taught me a lot and even gave me a better understanding of how to work with shapes. I can't thank you enough.
Thank you very much, I do really appreciate you taking time to do this. "More than you know"

Re: Would like My Logo to be 3D But not Working out
Excellent video tutorial, Egg.
But... there's a small but.
Looking at the .psd file, the OP has attached, your method would not work. Though... if I was designing that 'Star' logo from scratch, I would definitely use your method.
If you look at the attached image, you will see that adding a line or using the Contour Tool would not get the required result.
Re: Would like My Logo to be 3D But not Working out
Hi Rik, I'd not looked at the .psd file previously. The logo within that file is just 5 bitmaps which is no use to man nor beast.

Not following you there at all?

Egg,
I think once you bust apart the contour, change the fill to nothing and outline it, then overlay the bitmap you'll see the issue.
Bitmaps are wholly useful. If I had to do this, I would either just manually draw on top of it, or begin with a contour and then overlay the bitmap and make manual adjustments.

Can't agree with you there. I can use the 5 bitmaps to recreate the exact logo.

Ignore this one.
I forgot that you can adjust the inner point of the 'Star' shape to get the right angles.
So, using the Contour Tool, you can get the right shape.
