This is one of the best sites I've found:
http://www.cssplay.co.uk/index.html
Each example is provided with a code you can copy and paste into your own website. To examine the code, ifn ot displayed, use Right Click -> View Source. The code is deliberately displayed, including the CSS.
Re: Web Design Resource Thread
You have a site and you want to test compatibility with several browsers? This often means installing several browsers, but if you run Windows for example and you want to see how your site looks with a Mac or Linux browser, then things get complicated. Things get even more complicated if you want to test a site for different versions of the same browser, like IE5, IE5.5, IE6 and IE7.
Luckily enough there are sites like:
http://browsershots.org/
http://www.browsercam.com/
My advice; test a site for IE, FF and Opera and do the browser tests only if your site looks good in all 3 browsers (saves you lots of time).

This is one of the best CSS books I have found for the beginner or those who wish to understand CSS better. Here is a review of the book from webreference: http://www.webreference.com/reviews/css_missing_manual/ :)

I know someone already posted the sitepoint.com site, but I wanted to recommend that when you visit sitepoint to check out their forums, especially on Web Design. Can pick up some good info and tips plus see what others are dealing with in web design.

Happy web designing.:D
