Want to keep it simple (can always claim it's winter), but I think this works. There's a few Cigar 3s and a couple of Barbs among the lines now, and I think the handling of the bridge is much better...
Never mind taking hours over a job that would have taken a pro a few minutes, because it's a voyage of discovery with Xara and I'm enjoying the experimentation! And what I learn for a wee job like this will eventually filter through to something bigger...

None of the above either inspired me or tempted me to ring Dave Abcdef about his wonderful value-for-money services so here's something I threw together. Not a masterpiece but a lot less boring!

Well, at least mine was more interesting than Dave's plain text, but I agree with you entirely, Frank! And I swear never to post an attempted advertisement here again...

...them rebels MacDonald...see that the old fox and his son by no means escape your hands...
Can't forget that when I see Glencoe.
Do you know Moira Kerr and Hamish MacInnes?

"Do you know Moira Kerr and Hamish MacInnes?"
Small world as I'm a Kerr on my Paternal Grandmothers side. The other side were English border bandits.

I'm impressed, Erik. Yes, it's a shocking tale, with the buck stopping right at the highest level! Found out when I lived in Holland (1986-7) that William of Orange had been behind a few dark deeds, and the Dutch were probably very glad to get rid of him...

I've met them both, but can't say that I know either of them well. I've a vague recollection of having played on the same bill as Moira Kerr at some (charity?) gig at the Ballachulish Hall or somewhere, but it was years ago.
Latest attachment is not another attempted advertisement, but at least it only took minutes to knock this up out of the ashes of the last!
Frank, did you get my email?

Let's sing it:
The name MacDonald echoes still,
Within the hearts of Highland men,
My restless soul will never sleep,
I am MacIain.
Peter, because Hamish is a mountaineer, and you present us this ad, and because it is about Glen Coe, well...the world is like a bitmap in Xara: scaleable.

Many thanks! And I could have replied to that straight away but thought I'd try and get hold of Dave first...
Will be in touch as soon as I have!
Cheers
