Re: Click click click!!!
It was all because he had that tuna & squid sandwich before he went to bed. Why is it the cartoonists in this forum are ruling the roost in the gallery at the moment. If it's not Bob then it is Paul. Great drawing, like Egg states the teddy bear is a killer touch.

Re: Click click click!!!
Memories! Please let me share one too.
When our son was quite small we lived in a bi-level with an open basement. Son announced he could not go to the basement because of the "basement monster!" Young parents are challenged by such things.
So, Son and I set a trap for the monster. We had an upside down milk crate, held at angle by a stick. From the stick was a string that went to a cookie under the crate.
A day later, hand in hand we crept into the basement to check the trap. It was still set up as we left it... BUT there was a bite out of the cookie! We "adjusted" the trap a bit, put in a new cookie and slipped back upstairs.
The next day the trap was sprung and "basement monster" (actually a furry action figure from the hardware) was captured. A new toy added to the collection and no more fierce basement monsters.
Now Son is in his mid-twenties and has 3 (count 'em!) university degrees. I asked him about the basement monster and he remembered it vividly. "It really surprised me how a figment of my imagination could eat a cookie!" He still has basement monster on the shelf. <grin>
