BIG differnece in the nose Richard; looks 100% better. the eyelashes do look realistic.
what did he do go to the dentist and have his back teeth removed? universal beings; ya think with all that technology they have; space ships big capes etc, ya think they would take better care of thier choppers. sheesh, looks Great Richard, looking foward to the finished design
It's all coming together, Richard. Fantastic job on the eyelashes and nose...

Spent part of the weekend not feeling too well, so I played and learned. Blender 3D was part of it and doing more work in the U.Being. I wasn't going to do much in the way of a body suit but I thought I better do something. So I have begun on the little bit of space wear he will have on. I think I will add boots but they will match his body, kind of a transparent look to them so his own spacey skin and stars show through. So this, as well as the torso were my main focus as well as tweaking the legs just a bit more. I think he's really looking very clean and fluid at this point! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
Enjoy the view! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
Looking very cool Richard, Please Continue. I want to see this done before I reach my first century. http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
yes i also am lookiing foward to the completion. boots huh sounds like a nancy sinatra song coming on......these boots made for space travel....ok it is a updated version version just for Richard andhis U.B. http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif looks great Richard!
Hi Richard,
I was just looking again at the lastest update of your space dude, and the lips stand out a little too much. They kinda look like Al Jolson in blackface.
Oh... Mammy... http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif WOWEEEEEE! Hey Richard, this project is most amazing and inspiring! I love the colors you use in all your artwork, this one is no exception. This has a great unique look to it also --- you're just so damn creative, Richard, it's mind boggling! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
Maybe the lips could be a redder tint, or more orange or something to escape the "Al Jolson" fx (no doubt it looks different full size)...but maybe another color for the lips would be worth a look. Why not some shade of purple? Hey, it's better than green! hehe! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/eek.gif http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif I've looked back on all the work you've done on this and it's going to be SPECTACULAR!
Carry on! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

I know, I'm looking into, sigh........ redoing them a bit but not too much. I am stilled plagued by Valery's mentioning of the light source and size of the lower lip, so that's back on the list. It's all a learning process for me, and I'm a perfectionist, so it will look good large and small when I'm finished.
Just as one more challenge I have decided to give him a head of hair as well, so you, John and Mike, can see my hair technique in it's full blown glory. It's along the lines of Valery's technique, just taking and layering LOT'S of line but with an under shape that will be probably with fractals to give depth.
Also, keep in mind, the lips will stand out less as there are more highlights added to the face. See how bright and shiney the lower part of the body is (from the abs down to the feet)?, now imagine those types of effects all the way up. It's going to be a masterpiece when I'm all through.
I'm thinking of posting a fairly large version in a locked file with a password for those that want a copy of it when it's all through to admire and be inspired by. I know sometimes when someone here at TG posts a tiny litte version of a work that I wish I had a larger version of it makes me just mad with curiosity to be able to see the details up close, so I think I will attempt to do that but I know nothing of creating a password protected file on my server. Any ideas??
Anyway, I'm at work now so I can't get to those lucious lips, maybe tonight!! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
Maya, glad to have you back. Thanks for taking a look, it means alot to me, sister boogey woman!! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
yes please do post the file when all done, i know i would like to see it at its full size. as far as the server goes just put a password on that not the file. and then we can email you and then email us back with the password.
