if you have layers and you want to keep these use PSD
if you don't, or you do not mind them all being exported to one layer you can use PNG
I would avoid JPEG/GIF/TIFF[from xtreme] for this work
don't forget - if you want to print your work, you must export from xtreme at a suitable pixel size
I would recommend 300dpi resolution for print - so the size of your PNG image, as exported from xtreme at the default 96dpi, would need to be a little over three times the size of your print size [312.5%]
However you can set your export to 300dpi and then your image size and your print size should be in sync - which is usually easier
Hi
How do i erase pencil lines from my sketches that i imported to Xara to be inked? Is that possible?
thanks
Have you got an example?
Delete the layer which has the imported pencils lines.
You did put them on a locked layer and used a new layer for inking right? ;)
lets hope so..
rather thinking it might be how to erase some of them only....
Why do you need to erase pencil lines from your sketch when you're inking over them? Why not just ignore the pencil lines you don't want to ink? It's the same thing you'd do if you were inking them using a real marker, pen, or fountain pen. You're just using your pencil sketch as a guide and it's not going to be a part of the finished comic, right?
I must be missing something. Yes? No?
More input,
Harry
well at the end of the day you could do it all in gimp for that matter
one things for sure
the only way to find out which way you actually prefer.... is to try out the alternatives
its not a logical puzzle here that has just the one answer.....
