Re: Vase
Egg, you dirty old man.......you posted your video on one of my daughters favorite sites.....what are you doing there?? By the way, it comes in very, very well, fast and I can here the video this time. Good move
As for NANCE, do visit the link in post 117. I don't know how long it will take you but this is probably your best best. Hopefully egg will do some more postings there...........frank
P.S. Almost got the rose finished, I just have to remove a slight detail....."The Soquili 2002" on the bottom right corner must have been a glitch in xara but don't worry', I'll try to correct it tomorrow......frank

Re: Vase
Hi Nance
Sorry I'm not around too much anymore, starting to get busy here. I like your latest creation. We have some cream jugs here that are fluted just as your vase is, I don't know if you created that effect by accident or deliberatly but it works. Gota go now, have a happy day:) ......frank

Re: Vase
seabird....here you are on the vase thread again!! oh wonderful. fraid I don't understand what fluted is...but I'm going to assume you mean the line highlights that help define the vase shape. that was intentional. and that was the blood, sweat, and tears part for this vase:D didn't come out exactly like the vase I used for subject (the highlighted lines), but boy oh boy I'll glady accept this. it happens to be more reminescent of one of my other vases, so thank God I don't have to try that one:D :D

Re: Vase
Hi Nance
Wow, the latest vase is great. It breaks away a bit from your other style and looks a lot more like a painting this time. I was looking at the manual yesterday and found out that Egg does not quite reach the "God" catagory just yet, but he is literate. What he did manage to do was to take an instructions from the manual and explain them in with an excellent demonstration. Without eggs video I probably would never have considered doing what he accomplished, even if I read the pages a hundred times. I guess the forum is a real melting pot and eggs the heat and we're just the ingrediants.
I've been trying to draw a fluted cream jug since you asked what it was. Yeserday we had at least 6 power failures so everything kept getting lost, no big deal cause it wasn't any good and I just kept getting better and faster each time. If I every finish it and decide to post it I will name it Fluted Cream Jug (original, yes) but I imagine everybody else looking at it will name it "really pathetic". Ahhhhh, the power and grace of adjectives and adverbs..........frank

Re: Vase
Well, I hope your not thirsty. I putter around with it but by the time I finish you may be ready for the old age pension. Everything here is fine but slow, but that doesn't mean I get to live the life of Riley, it just means I get to work like a dog with out a salary. Our gardens are looking extraordinary good right now, the air smells fantastic since the lilacs are just coming out, we're getting just enough rain that the grass has not burned yet so everything here is green, green and more green. And if Gary just happens to pop in here I would just like to say one thing..... "GREEN, beautiful GREEN"
Waiting for your next work of art Nance, don't dissapoint us......frank

Hi Nance
Now, this one is really special. Put it in a frame and I can see absolutly no problems hanging this one on one of our walls. For my personal tastes I think this is one of your best so far..............frank
