hi guys i have made a thermometer type meter to show viwers the progress of the main movie loading this is a movie clip that plays in the preloader a red line fills the glass as the movie loads its linked to the main movie by the if frame loaded go to and play, this seems to work as it progresses to each point as the movie loads but gets to the end long before the movie is loaded? the if frame loaded action refers to key frames on the actions layer of the main movie ie 1/4, half, 3\4, end. so it should in theary not go to the end of the meter if the end frame is not loaded in the main movie, any help greatly appreciated, Dave.

are you using flash 5? try using the percentloaded property. if (target._percentloaded <= a) { gotoandplay(x) }
that should do it. otherwise, what are the actions you're using? can you cut and paste them into a response so we can identify the problem?

No problem - that's what we're here for! Incidentally, for those of you who don't know, our very own Bill Spencer is a moderator at Flash Kit as well, and on top of that, he was one of the judges for the FlashForward2001 Flash Film Festival! Kudos to you, Bill!
