new user -- was expecting this to be responsive -- but it is not?
after using, and reading other posts
this program is not responsive - but it is ADAPTIVE???????????????????
anyway - after 30 non-stop hours -- I DO like the program
(been hand-coding for 30 years -- yes really)
anyway
my issue (question) is
why does the site not switch to Mobile on my mobile?
if I change the width of my desktop browser - it works just great
but it does not switch to mobile on my Samsung 8+
are the new cell phones too high a natural resolution?
I made 2 variants -- and for the mobile version I tried several different toggle points for the width of the page
so - to stop wasting time - asking for help here
thanks!

Hi and welcome to TalkGraphics
Can you post a link to your site and we can check it out on our respective cell phones.

Re: new user -- was expecting this to be responsive -- but it is not?
ok
now I KNOW it is not my fault
I uploaded a site from direct XARA RWD templates
even THAT does not use the mobile version on my Samsung 8+
(I use chrome)
on a hunch -- I DL Firefox
ta dah ! - it works
ie mobile version showed up on my cell
soooooooooooo
why is chrome the culprit
where are the other replies I sent in tonight?

I checked my SETTINGS in chrome - expecting something ODD
and there is nothing there
BUT
under the menu options for chrome
is a checkbox for use desktop
where did that come from ?????????????
anyway
solved
so
while we are are here
what are the best settings for the mobile variant and main variant
Re: new user -- was expecting this to be responsive -- but it is not?
Works in my iPhone and Safari. I would make your menu larger. It does work but it is very tiny.
Also be sure to name your pages. The home page appears now as index. In the Web Properties > Page section you can add a page title.
Re: new user -- was expecting this to be responsive -- but it is not?

Re: new user -- was expecting this to be responsive -- but it is not?
Could I make a few of suggestions as an aside.
1: Your home page is named as index. Not very informative. How about "Oasis Family Dental Spa - Home"? Better for SEO.
2: Your home page has the header image:Attachment 125382 Fine for human visitors, we can read the text in the image as 'Oasis Family Dental Spa', however search engine bots can't, they just see it as: index_htm_files/602.jpg and can't interpolate the text content you and I see. So ensure you use text content within your page, preferably as H1 text, containing web-bot readable content "Oasis Family Dental Spa". At present it only appears as text content in the footer.
3: Use the Alt text for the image descriptions. i.e. Alt= Oasis Family Dental Spa Logo
