Well, it is in the UK.
Rik, I like the tissue roses, the effect is effective.
By the way, it should be Sunday as it is always on a Sunday. In fact, in UK, it is Mid-Lent Sunday, the fourth Sunday of Lent.
Also, it should be Mothering not Mother's. It goes back to when those in servitude were allowed by the employers to go back to their Mother Church one time a year with gifts, flowers and cakes for their Mothers.
The US does it differently and it is Mother’s Day on the second Sunday in May.
UK's Mothering Sunday is a re-invention that copied the US one so both can be seen as purely commercial shenanigans.
The UK & US Father's Day is the third Sunday in June so should be Father's Sunday.
It is a much later invention.
Bah Humbug!

Acorn: I bow to your superior knowledge about the real name of the occasion.
As to when?
My sons gave Mother's Day cards to my wife, today. So I am happy that today is Mother's Day.
(Or Mothering Sunday if you prefer.)
But, all the cards we saw, said 'Mother's Day'.
I've always seen and given a 'Mother's Day' card to my Mum when she was alive.
So, that's what I drew to celebrate this day, for all mothers.
A beautiful card it is too Rik.Did you draw the roses or were they clipart? Just wondering.
Moms in the US wait until the weather is a little warmer. May. I like the flowers but not the black, Rik. It feels too masculine. Maybe that is just me.
Feels happier to me. Any moms out there who want to weigh in on this one?
That's beautiful, Rik. The roses and transparency effect are great. And I agree with Gary, it's much more cheerful and spring-like with the light background!
