A default line spacing of 120% shows when I start any new text line or box. Is there a way to change this to 100%? I tried changing it and then saving as default template but it returns to 120% upon opening a new doc.
Thanks. Dan

Does it hold if you create a template with that setting? FWIW I prefer the 120% for blocks of text. It is easier to read. But maybe that is just me.
It does not hold. Not a deal breaker but I find myself constantly needing to decrease the size to, usually, 100%. Could not find any RegEdit entry to change. Thanks for the reply.
Try this Dan:
Open a blank document
Create a text area
Put some text into this
Change the default spacing from 120 to 100
This would usually be Normal text style.
It will now be Normal Text with a '+' sign appended
Select some of the text
Update Normal text to Match.
Delete text area
Save as template.
This should retain the 100 spacing.
thanks for that egg
Yes thanks Egg, I was having the same problem as Dan.
In any document, create a Style that is Normal text with 100% line spacing.
Save it as Normal100, or what your heart desires.
If you copy the prose across, the Style Normal100 come too.
This way you can create all types of text or shapes or colour bars or widgets in a handy design file and have that always open.
A template is too coarse a tool.

Works perfect. Thanks.
