does anyone have any good ideas on how to take the brightness of this?
Hi there folks
I've shot this photo a few days back and am struggling with the tire tracks highlighted by the sun in front of the lady. I've tried cloning dirt, but it looks kinda weird, at least when I do it...anyone got some suggestions on how to get them to be less notisable?
thanks in advance
Linda

I'm not really sure what you're after.

A very delicate touch with the Photo Heal tool to break up the curve and lines might help but I don't see the need.

Acorns Fix is a good one but I noticed that the photo heal doesnt have soft and hard levels. Or maybe im just not seeing it. Id like to just add something. For those who are using Xara pro, you can use the dodge and burn effect tools that are also found in Photoshop.
Click on the Camera icon
Then click on the effect painter
on the top left you will see an effects drop down
there you will find dodge and burn along with other effects.
For this particular problem in this thread you can use the Burn effect. The burn effect strengthens shadows.
Just bring up transparency and softness and paint across the areas that need extra attention.
Try it out on a copy of your photo. It wont hurt

Or you could try the clone tool then the brightness levels tool. I used two clones and darkened slightly with levels and wee bit of feathering. Also the cloned pieces can have their colour altered using the photo tools.
