Convert XDPX Document to Web one
If I use File > New document on XPDX(10 or 11), I get a Layer 1 page created.
Can this be made into a Web document that supports Variants?
I always forget that the default template is not a web-based one.
I didn't particularly want to change the default so treat this as a newbie problem where a button has been added and I now have Layer 1, MouseOff & MouseOver layers and a lot of objects and a working site.

Re: Convert XDPX Document to Web one
File > New > Web Page
Or Page Options > General > Web Document
Then right click > Website Variants
Re: Convert XDPX Document to Web one
If I understand you correctly Acorn I don't think it's automatic.
You can go Utilities / Options / General and under Document editing / Document type / change the file to Web Document. However it still only contains the single layer-Layer1. It doesn't add Mouse-over, Mouse-off, Page background and Pasteboard background layers automatically. It would be great if it did:)

Thanks Gary, I totally missed the Page Options > General > Document editing > Document type: Web document.

Thanks Egg, it was the first bit i was missing.
I get round the Layers by dragging a button onto the page and a colour onto the pasteboard.
