An icon for Collada files
I gave up trying to sort out Collada (*.DAE) icons in folders because Windows either can't provide an icon, or no program I have claims the file format and supplies an icon.

So I designed one in Xara, passed it along to an icon editor, and here it is to share, along with the original file. The design is the "O" in Collada, as created by the developers of this XML-based file format.
Enjoy!

Re: An icon for Collada files
Nice icon Gary, I have 2 programs that can use Collada files, Sketchup and Bryce. I've used it a few times before an Obj. exporter was developed for Sketchup.

Re: An icon for Collada files
Thanks, Mike. To everyone: I found a sweetheart of a mesh converter MeshLab from SourceForge. It takes just about everything other programs do not, even STereoLithography files (STLs):

I created an icon based on one of the original icons that unfortunately doesn't ship with modeling programs or Windows:

The Xara file and the *.ico file are attached.
Mathematicians do some very neat stuff with this file type. I believe it's generated by parallax photography, reminds me of what Gary P. does with stereograms.
My Best,
Gary
