I looked at the Carved Stone in Tips/Tricks. It
is really amazing... Xara X can be used for almost in any application. Is there any one who has been
able to come up with a "Stamped" look. A stamped form would like an unpolished look to it, I think. Take a look at this poor attempt. I wanted to give a 'worn'look to it. Yet I couldn't get that 'pushed in", as with an awl & hammer, feel. I saw this, 'stamped' in gold being done in Toledo,Spain. It is a very interesting process. Let's have some fb. Gary..give us your spin on it,please.

Looks terific Bill. But I don't think it looks stamped. It looks chiseled, and I don't mean that in a negative way. I especially like the way you achieved the less than perfect quality with chisel marks.
Cool.

Thanks.Gary. I agree with you..it doesn't look 'stamped'. The effect I'm talking about is like taking a 'gold leaf' and them 'push' it or stamp it into the carved out stone. Something like a hot gold fill. In Toledo, Spain they do this type of work. They use thin sheets of gold and then hammer it into carved out grooves usting a type of "awl".
Instead of having a raised, chisled look it should have a low relief look to it.
I found by using a font that has an irregular edge with give you that 'cold chisled' effect when Beveled inwards.
Thanks for idea..Bil
