Minimalist Film Poster - February 2014
Can you create a minimalist film poster that captures the essence of the film This is Spinal Tap?
It was released almost 30 years ago and was full of allusions that should inspire you: the fictional album Smell the Glove, Stonehenge or its loudness.
Is should "sell" the movie to passers-by and needs to be portrait format suitable to be seen from a distance.

Hullo Chaps and Chappesses,
I tried to combine the two funniest elements of the film [well the two that most people remember] without any wording to what the film is. I also add these on my Facebook account to see how many people guess them right.
I would also like to apologise for reusing the 'shadow' trick [for want of a better word] after I promised I wouldn't resort to such cheap and easy ways to represent a film [i.e all my other efforts] but I do feel that it works well.
I have also added my other efforts for January and December [albeit very late I admit]. Anyway for better or worse here they be.
Cheers to one and all
David

David, I do prefer the 11's shadow trick. As the movie as a spoof, it's ideally chosen as a representation.
In the UK, the BBC iPlayer has an 11 volume setting.

Acorn, You do know that a Japanese audio company actually created an amplifier/speaker that went up to '11' and Sting got his stage management to create a mini-Stonehenge for one of his shows, or they did it as a surprise for one of his shows. Actually after trying to be really clever and 'know-it-all' I think this was mentioned on the copious extras on the DVD of Spinal Tap!
As for the shadow image - well I do like it too but I surely can't keep using it for all of my efforts. Even my neck hasn't got that much brass in it.
My late entries for January and February don't involve any cast shadows though.
Hopefully I can do something unshadowy for March :D
Cheers
David
