July 2013 Giveaway - Victorian Frames
July 2013 Free Giveaway
Attachment 97541
Do you need a fast and elegant way to dress up a photo or drawing? Do you always answer rhetorical questions? If the answer to at least one of the above is “yes”, treat yourself to one, or all three of this month’s Giveaways: Victorian frames with alpha channels you can drag right into Xara to complete a fancy idea.
Great for cards, inkjet prints, and web use, Gary created these frames for members and for himself because he got sick of shelling out serious clams for overpriced knockoffs at those stores that sell scented candles for $45, and wicker ashtrays for $79.95.
You’ll soon discover that fake frames and digital art are naturals for one another! Get a fake hammer and nails handy!
Grab these frames and show us how these frames make your favorite artwork gallery ready.

Re: July 2013 Giveaway - Victorian Frames
Thank you for the frames Gare. I tried to find something I had done that would fit this portrait format. This is what I came up with. It is an oil painting done some time age, does that count. If not I'll find some Xara art that would fit. It will probably be a space sceen as that is what I've been into lately.

I kind of wanted to use this one which is 100%Xara, but it's the wrong format to fit the frames.

@ Big Frank—
You are most welcome, monsieur.
@Larry—
That's a beautiful piece of art. First, you could rotate the frame, and then create a "spacer" to imitate the look of a cut matte to bring your picture into aspect.
Other thing, when I get a moment, is I'll reproportion the frame (Brass, right?) to fit your lovely artwork!
My Best,
Gary

I thought of trying to change the frames to landscape with out distorting them, just haven't gotten to it yet. Thanks for the offer Gare. I'm not sure which one would be best for the bottom image brass or pewter. At any rate thanks for the frames Gare, they are beautiful.

Re: July 2013 Giveaway - Victorian Frames
It's not centered perfectly, Larry, but at a first glance it looks good.
I was going to do a little smearing and trimming with Corel Painter and then some Resizing in Xara.
But you did good. Are you happy with it?

I would be if it were centered perfectly.
