Contact Form Widget
I've just included a contact form on my site and used one of the widgets included in XDP7.
Contact Form
The widget is by FormLogix.
There is no 'captcha' type confirmation required when submitting the form.
So, does this mean that I am likely to get lots of spam?

Re: Contact Form Widget
You can tell us. :)
Google's very involved recaptcha is free.

Re: Contact Form Widget
Thanks for the link, Gary.
But, how do you add that to the contact form gadget?

Has reCapcha built in.
Free account gives you 200 submissions per month. If you think your site will generate more submissions than this, you can upgrade to a paid plan.
Easy copy'n'paste code into Designer.

Re: Contact Form Widget
Thanks Steve.
I am actually registered with EmailMe Form.
I created a form last night and am going to look at how to now insert that into my contact page.
When I used FrontPage, I could easily control how things looked, even though the form was from EmailMe, so I will see how I get on with XDP7.
EmailMe offer some good solutions as well. Things like, you can just have a button that then opens the contact form etc...
But, having the form on the contact page is better, in my opinion.
So, I will see how I get on.
Thanks very much for the info.

Re: Contact Form Widget
I just added the recaptcha code to my site then went back to the old captcha.
The recaptcha is too difficult and while it makes it very hard for spam bots it also makes it very hard for qualified persons who might well throw their hands in the air, cry nonsense, and move on.
To be honest, I get very little spam from my current form so why fix it if it ain't broke.

Re: Contact Form Widget
We can look at adding the EmailMe Form service as a widget if this is a popular form service?

Re: Contact Form Widget
You've just confirmed what I've been thinking about.
I keep going back to the simple captcha and then wondering whether the newer one should be there.
Then, I think about those users (I know) who will be using the form? Will they have the patience to work out the new captcha?
So, I'm going to g down your road and just put the simple captcha on the page.
Thanks for your comments.

Re: Contact Form Widget
bb2 - Yes, I think so. I use the free version and it is fairly straight forward and yet sophisticated at the same time including recaptcha capability.
Rik - Agree

Re: Contact Form Widget
I've just bought this program so am fairly new but tried the emailme form and was pretty impressed so including this as a widget I believe would be most helpful.
