Align text to bottom of text area
Is it possible to change the alignment of text within a text area?
By default the text is located top left. Horizontal justification can make this top centre or top right, but how about bottom left / centre / right or even middle left / centre / right?
Re: Align text to bottom of text area
As far as I know this can only be done manually. That is to say, by manually positioning the bottom of the text area where you want it.
Same thing, just not automatic.

align text area any where you want..the text area is an object.....
If I follow your thought.

Thanks for the confirmation Gary.
Scotty: I understand what you are saying, but it isn't quite what I was referring to...
In Excel the contents of a cell can be aligned in 3 ways in both the X and Y plane to give 9 alignment options. This alignment happens automatically when the cell is resized, or when the text is edited such that the chosen alignment is always maintained.

I would like the same option to be available in Xara.
Your suggestion does of course result in the same result, but would require manual intervention every time the text is changed.
Re: Align text to bottom of text area
You can't move that cell anywhere you want on the page though, can you?! ;-)
Re: Align text to bottom of text area
Got a great idea! I'm going to contact Microsoft and ask them why they don't include Xara's vector capabilities in Word! :D

John, John, John!
Ampa - I am not sure that this would be as useful in a Xara product as it is in a spread sheet, especially since at the moment at least, Xara products cannot produce tables.
