Re: D-dayinfo site (looking for tips and suggestions)
The site looks OK to me. I am not a fan of war stuff. But it looks like there is a lot of information on the site and it is easy to get to.
Re: D-dayinfo site (looking for tips and suggestions)
I think even though the site is in Dutch the design is still good, again not a war stuff fan. I would make the pop-up photos in the galleries a bit larger and you should use the centre pop-up highslide tweek. Well done on a great start.
Re: D-dayinfo site (looking for tips and suggestions)
I will take that in mind! Thanks :)
Re: D-dayinfo site (looking for tips and suggestions)
Just to be sure, what do you exaclty mean with galleries (wat pages) and what do you exactly mean with pop-up highslide tweek? You mean showing them in a white box instead of just a pop-up layer to navigate from photo to photo?
Re: D-dayinfo site (looking for tips and suggestions)
I meant the: Troepen, Rangen and wapen pages.
When you click on a photo it enlarges. If you use the pop-up photo setting in web properties to do this then it is using a piece of software from Highslide to create this. There are a number of tweeks for this and one of them allows the photo to appear in the center of the screen when it is clicked. As an example of you go to the following website url and click on the photos with the magnifying glass you can see the action.

There are other tweeks such as dimming of the background etc.

Updated ;) is this better?
Re: D-dayinfo site (looking for tips and suggestions)
The small change just finishes the site off really well. Just another small suggestion related to the pop-up; how about putting a zoom or magnifying glass icon on the photos you can click on to zoom so that a visitor to the site knows that they can zoom into the photos, just like in my link above. Well done
