Paintshop Pro X2 hangs at startup.

While starting the application the splash screen shows up (loading all the dlls) but it finally freezes listing "Building Menus" as shown under.

Launching the application again and again helps sometimes in getting through (the program starts normally), but mostly it doesn't!

Any help would be appreciated.

Sometimes the quickest and least painful way to resolve program Startup issues is to simply Uninstall; then clear the Registry of any keys that the Uninstall left behind; and then do a fresh Install.

PPX2 has had very few updates so if you have the original installation CD or Download then you could be up-and-running again within 15 minutes.

Try starting X2 with the Shift key depressed until you get a message telling you PSP will revert to the default settings, then let go of the Shift key :-)
