numbered list, indents and so forth
Hi all,
Giving Designer a whirl before I purchase it. Love the drag and drop feature. Spend less time coding and more time marketing my business. I did notice though that (at least so far I can't find it anywhere), there is no bullet list, number list, justify option or a few more items necessary for designing a web or editing a theme. These are all basic features in all web design programs.
Also I noticed that it can be imported into Dreamweaver as a DHTML. Anyone know if it is compatible with Expressions as well?
Thanks lots in advance :)
Gabriel

Welcome to TalkGraphics Gabriel
Designer has numbered and bulleted lists as well as indent and outdent. You can set tabs and do most of the things you can normally do with text.
Designer is not really compatible with Dreamweaver or Expressions. It is not an HTML editing environment as you have seen. It is a true intuitive, interactive, WYSIWYG web site creation (as well as photo editing and desktop publishing) application.

List and justification are part of the Text Tool Infobar.
EDIT: I see Gary answered while I was composing. :D

Hey thanks guys and sorry for the delayed reply. Yeah I was looking in the wrong place and Text Toolbar was not checked in View. Program looks pretty cool so far. I wanted to add some meta tags but they need to be entered above the body. Does Designer automatically place it there?
Thanks again :)

To put meta tags in the header you use a placeholder and name it "<head>", include everything except the double quotes. ;)
To name a placeholder, right click and select Names from the popup menu.
Re: numbered list, indents and so forth
Hey, thanks so much! I made the leap last night and purchased the program. Too many cool features that would take days to code, right at your fingertips. Would like to see a few more items added but I think Xara will implement them in feature versions.
