It won't surprise you to learn that I can't remember! :D Pretty certain though I was looking for help on Xara home.
I think I found TG through the Xara site like Steve after buying my first Xara product. I found Xara through another forum for another program. After checking out Xara and trying the free trial of Xtreme I was hooked:D As I recall my first post was a small drawing I had done while getting the feel of Xtreme and very quickly I received a warm welcome and encouragements from several members. TG has been my favourite site ever since.
I found TG by hanging around for so many years the old i/US forums evolved into TG. ;))
The first public Beta of Xara X had been released shortly before I became a member of the i/US forum.
My first post is still around: http://www.talkgraphics.com/showthread.php?t=3891
Egg Bramhill was the first to post a reply. :)
I had learned the Tools of Xara X by following Gary's tutorials. His trompe l'oeil was very popular. :)
The XaraXone has been and is still the greatest place to learn Xara Xtreme. :D
I found it via XaraXone. Don't ask me how I found the Xone nor Xara as I can't remember--too long ago.
'Snap' to what Bill said. I was a member of Chris Dickman's i-us forums from having purchased CorelXara about erm ... 1998 I think. I remember the i-us forums having a tree structure and maybe having a brown patterned background but that's about all. It then migrated to Talkgraphics which I joined in abt Aug 2000.

I think I pressed the 'help' in Xara3D5. And after that I discovered
there was a whole lot more products of Xara. And a great drawing program
(didn`t know about vectors or bitmap then) I still use now. ;)
It was through Xarazone for me. I've learned SO much from all the talented folks who are willing to share the knowledge.
I Googled "graphics forum" looking for a community of others interested in graphics like I am.
