For his birthday we got my husband a new camera, a Fuji Finepix s1500. Here are a couple of shots I took with it today. The first is a tansy plant in my garden, and the second is the trunk of a very old apple tree down the street.

Happy Birthday hubby and congrats on the new Camera. Fuji make some nice cameras and always seems to produce good colours.
Thanks for sharing your first pictures Francis (and hubby). Look forward to seeing more posted soon ;)
Nice photos Frances.
Do you use the tansy for repelling insects? The oil produced when the petals are pressed repels most insects. When log homes with dirt floors were common people would scatter tansy about the floor so when they walked on them it would release the oil.
Thanks Steve and Bill.
I never knew that tansy was a good insect repellent will have to try that. The tansy planted itself there.
Don't believe I've ever seen tansy before. Very interesting and cute flowers. I like the old, gnarly tree texture. Happy Birthday to hubby and what a wonderful gift. Love cameras.
Brian and I just finished golfing and just as we were about to pull out of the parking lot I noticed my new camera was not in the car. I yelped for him to turn around...I must have left it in the cart. I get into the pro shop and the guy behind the counter is going through my pictures and I could tell he would have liked to keep it. He kept saying what a nice camera it was. I would have been sick if I disappeared.
....hope that you will let your husband use the camera occasionally!
spoondoolix,
It looks like hubby (Bill Porter), was out and about using his new Fuji Finepix s1500 at the local Custom Car Show, Sechelt, B.C.. And he's got some 'finepix' to show for it. Be sure to have a look-see.
Good pictures from a talented family. The custom cars are unusual - as you would expect.
