Object gallery
I am the slowest learner. I upgraded to XX5 because I wanted this new object gallery. I opened up the 2nd CD and started reading about it. Seems it's only for the pro version. I didn't understand that. My bad. I didn't read any of the threads about it after reading the initial one about the object gallery. I will upgrade to pro someday. Then I'll get to take advantage of this cool new feature.
I use the mousewheel to zoom in and out in XX4. In XX5 it says ctrl plus wheel. Is there a way to change it to just the mouse wheel? Thanks.

Re: Object gallery
Hi Nancy,
I'm not sure if this is in the standard edition or not.
Utilities menu >> Options >> Mouse
See attached image.

Re: Object gallery
Ok, that worked. Now zoom in/out is default mouse wheel and if I hold ctrl I shift up/down.
When I switch back and forth between XX4 and XX5 I get this message below. Why is it asking me this?

Re: Object gallery
Nancy if you untick the checkbox on the bottom of the message it will not perform the check again when you start either program.

Re: Object gallery
I figured that Bill. Wondered why it was asking though. I get a 2nd screen after this asking about web files. only happens if I switch between the programs. If I open XX5 six times, it only asked the first time. If I then open XX4 I get the message and if I return to XX5 I get the message again.
Well, it really doesn't matter and since it's safe to uncheck the box, I will. I was just curious.

Re: Object gallery
When you run 5 it notices that it's not the registered application for those files, so it asks you (The first time). Afterwards when you run it, it IS the registered application, so it says nothing.
When you run 4, it notices that it's not the registered application for those files, so it asks you (The first time). Afterwards when you run it, it IS the registered application, so it says nothing.
By telling it not to check both versions stop caring, and problem solved.

Re: Object gallery
Though I'd like to add that you should say you DO want to register it to one or the other. I'd choose the one that you like to work with more. I have associated .web and .xar with Xtreme Pro 5 and THEN told it not to ask me.
This way, when you double click on a file from Explorer with these extenstions, it knows to open the right program. Same goes for when you click on someone's attachment here. Rather than having to save it and then load it, it will automatically go to the right program.
