Has this been fixed in XXP5?
Hello,
Been awhile since I browsed this forum. Can anyone tell me if the bug with the boolean curves has been fixed in XXP5? I'm still using Xara X. Would like to upgrade, but would first like to know if this problem is still present. I realize I could download a trial version and test it myself. But really don't want to go through the process if I can acquire the knowledge in this forum.
The bug was discussed in great detail on the thread below. And my thanks to Egg for doing such a bang up job of defining and describing it.

Thanks for any info anyone can provide.

Re: Has this been fixed in XXP5?
Hi Doug,
It seems the answer to your question is no.
I subtracted a circle from a rectangle using Xtreme Pro 5.1 and have the extra nodes near the transition from curve to straight line. See attachment.
Re: Has this been fixed in XXP5?
This was supposedly fixed in version 4, no?
Bill, are you sure the small line segments are straight? Maybe the extra nodes are those of top and bottom nodes of the circle you subtracted.
Re: Has this been fixed in XXP5?
I did it with no line and it worked perfectly.
Re: Has this been fixed in XXP5?
This was fixed in X4 and is working correctly in X5. There are no extra nodes in your example Bill, you simply hadn't lined up the circle with the edge of the rectangle. If you do, you get 2 nodes less. :)

Re: Has this been fixed in XXP5?
Thanks Alien! It was where the circles top and bottom nodes intersected with the rectangle.
EDIT: I see John posted while I was making another test. Thanks John, it is fixed as you say. :)
