Active Links in PDF
I created a newsletter using Xara. In order for my clients to view it easily I exported the file as a pdf. The newsletter has some text that I also made into links so the client could go to the web address. When exported as a pdf the links do not work. There is one link that is an actual www. that works but the other ones do not. Is this something that works in a pdf file or do I just need to move on and include the actual www. links instead of text that is linked to a wed address.

Re: Active Links in PDF
Hi BigSmoker,
If you use the Email distribution or Download option in the PDF export dialog you can have multiple links.
Although I did find that if I try putting two different links in the same paragraph they both point to the same URL after export to pdf.
Links in different paragraphs work as they should and link to the URL that was assigned.

Re: Active Links in PDF
I edited your newsletter and it now seems to work.
How did you insert the web address?

Re: Active Links in PDF
I highlighted the text I wanted to link. Right clicked and selected web address. entered the full URL. left the target as _self. rectangle around object and underline text link. After this I changed the text color to blue to make it stand out. Was your procedure the same?

Re: Active Links in PDF
BigSmoker did you click the Apply button? I often forget to do that.

Re: Active Links in PDF
Yes, it is the Add button. Old habits and dialogs stay with us I'm afraid. :D
