What's the secret to displaying text on the MouseOver layer?
I know I should know better ..... but I can't locate any info about this in the Summary Manual's documentation.
If I put text on the MouseOver layer, then draw a rectangle on the MouseOff layer directly below the text (which has a footprint larger than that of the text), and then assign a link to the rectangle, shouldn't the text by displayed when the rectangle is moused-over?
My understanding is that so long as an object on the MouseOff layer has a link assigned to it, then anything directly above it the MouseOver layer which is overlapped by 50% or more will be displayed.
I don't believe the Helpfile explicitly states that there is an exception for text on the MouseOver layer.
Re: What's the secret to displaying text on the MouseOver layer?
The text is not rendered on mouseover/mousedown layers. This is limitation of this version of WD. If you want text on rollovers, group it, so it is exported as bitmap.
Although, you can use plain text on the popup layers.

Thank you, John, for the clarification.
