Hi,
I have used labels to create a background
colour tween on a button press.
for eg
button 1 play lable 1
button 2 play lable 2 and so on
the background colours tween fine if you press the buttons in order, but if you press eg 1 then 4 it jumps right to that clour but does not tween in

You'll have to create separate tweens starting at each label. Have frame a with background m - then each label should have background m, and then tween the change from there to background n. That should do what you want to do. If you want m and/or n set dynamically, I think you'd have to tween it using ActionScript.
