Image Creation Animation (2 Vectors?)
I was wondering, how can you create an image like this. I know that the effect is "Pulse". But do you have to cut out two vectors. It would be great If someone could post a .X3D and/or a.XAR file of this wonderful creation. Or could someone post .X3D and/or a.XAR files, just like this animation please?

P.S I want a .XAR file mainly!:D

Jinz,
I think we need a little more information .........!
Re: Image Creation Animation (2 Vectors?)
Keith I think he is referring to post #22 here :) - not sure myself

Re: Image Creation Animation (2 Vectors?)
heres a suggestion - as you are doing so well in the other thread:
screen capture the image at the furthest back point of its cycle - you now have an image that you can treat the same way as before - make up a file that spins this - post up this file and will see what we can do to help you transform it into pulsate ;):)
I do not recognise this image so I would be grateful if first you could let us know where it came from. Thanks.

Re: Image Creation Animation (2 Vectors?)
As far as I am aware, If you want to use two colours, you are right, you will need to use two vector objects. These can be positioned using the adjustments shown on the attached screenshot. Once you have two objects they can be manipulated separately using the [A|B] cursor to highlight individual objects. A good tutorial is the J.R.R. Tolkein tutorial by Mike Sims shown in post #9 here. In fact the whole thread may be of some interest.
Something worth noting is that Xara 3D treads every vector object as a single text character no matter how complex it is. If you want to change the animation or colours of objects they must be separate vectors. That I know of there is no limit (obviously depending on the performance of your computer) to the number of vector objects that you can put into a drawing.
You are limited only by your imagination.
Re: Image Creation Animation (2 Vectors?)
anything by Mike Sims in xara3D is of interest
nice explanation Keith :)
the more you practice and play around jinz the better and easier it gets

One object, different colors and textures:
Re: Image Creation Animation (2 Vectors?)
Drifter,
I said that Xara 3d treats every vector object as a single text character. Not that it treats all the text characters as a single vector. The way I understand it, a single text character is treated as a single vector. So your what you call "one object" is actually multiple (41) vectors. If you paste in one vector (or one text character) you cannot add two colours to it. Maybe I explained it badly.
Re: Image Creation Animation (2 Vectors?)
Keith, you certainly know more about 3D than I ever will. I'm showing jinz that you can have multiple colors/textures on any one object if you simply add them in Xtreme and then use them as the one texture for the one object in 3D.
Now what happens next is for jinz to learn from you how to make outside-the-realm-of-possibility 3D drawings with 3D like you do.
