Animation will not work with netscape
I am new to animation and just made my first for a website usinging XXPro. it seems to work fine with IE but when i tried to view it with Netscape all i can see is a white square where the animation should be.
As you can readily see I am also new at making websites and i use Frontpage 2002.
I would really apreciate some help.

Re: Animation will not work with netscape
I have to admit that when I do my own web pages, I only check them for IE and FireFox. I never even bother to optimize for Netscape any more!
It was just WAY too frustrating for me. I'd have a page that looked good on 99% of the computers out there, but not on the other 1%. And often, by the time I made it look good on Netscape, something was messed up for the other browsers. I only recently started checking for FireFox, and have found it to be a pleasure, along with Internet Explorer.

WolfMoonHP, thanks for the quick reply.
This is going to be a commercial site. Isn't it important to be visable on Netscape?

Re: Animation will not work with netscape
Can you post the animation? Perhaps when we see it someone may have the answer.

Re: Animation will not work with netscape
it won't work in Netscape cause its a .xar file the only way to get it to work is export it from XtremePro as a .gif animation file. I tried expoting it as a .swf file but on putting it into a browser Firefox and netscape it just shows a single frame of the plane. now off to bed hope someone else can guide you thro' the nite.
Re: Animation will not work with netscape
I tried the flash viewer in IE-7, and it was very smooth.

Re: Animation will not work with netscape
chjarrell,
Some points:
1: You've used the background image in all frames. Just create a single frame and tick the background box. This will cut down on file size.
2: Remove the black background from the plane. It will animate far smoother without the ugly black rectangle behind it. And use clipview to allow the plane to be placed outside the screen areas et the start and end of the animation.
And finally, on your web page the background image doesn't tile very well, it has a white fringe around the edges. I attach a jpg that should tile without these white fringes. Just right click and save it.
