I've finally finished the '57 BelAir I've been wanting to do for some time. I'm a little more comfortable creating my own colors now, so that I can change the color of an automobile in seconds now. Also, I realized that with cars that have body styles that lend themselves to it, I can change a car from a hardtop to a convertible just by changing layers. The two pictures below are the same Xara file.

Hi Ron,
Excellent '57 Belair! Most of the hard tops I remember were two colour. Body one colour and the top was usually white. We had a black with white top. When I was stationed in Turkey in the late '80s you could buy a brand new '57 Chevy. The only problem was you couldn't ship it out of country.

Nice Job Ron... Real Nice... Now to work on the unibody cars. Then you can have 10 cars in the same xara file...

Great image Ron. The colour editor is greatly underestimated in XaraX, and as you say, you can alter an image in seconds.
As well as using the layers for the hard top / soft top option, you could also add different occupants ie drivers/passengers on different layers. The options are endless.

sorry Ron,
Meant K-kars... I think those where the cars where many different models were basically the same, at least under the hood...
