Metal Finishes
Trying to replicate metal surfaces and, if possible, turning them into tileable fills might make for an interesting exercise.
I did find these royalty-free photos that could be useful as examples: http://metals.about.com/od/metalphot...alsgallery.htm
I'd be interested if anyone can recommend (or post) any metal fills (other than what is included with Xtreme).

Thank you, John, for sharing the link. I'm sure I and others
will put this to good use.

Re: Metal Finishes
Hello John,
I don't know if this is what you might have in mind, but Genetica Viewer comes with a bunch of seamless textures, some of which are metal. It is a free program.

While there have a look at Wood Workshop which is also free, and Genetica, which is not free.

Re: Metal Finishes
Joel — are you still designing textures? I have 2 sets you made available several years ago for Xara users. I don't know if they are in the XaraXone, but hope so. I've used them quite often over the years.

Hello Mickie,
Yes, on occasion...I still have a nine sets of them on an old geocities website for download...

I should probably move them to one of my websites. I'm happy that you've found them useful. :-)
