I know several members here have Cinema 4D, so I thought I would pass this info along in case some of you haven't seen it yet.
There is a very good tutorial on Maxon's site on creating a full female character.

Even if you do not have Cinema you might want to check it out, since most apps have subdivision model now.

Thanks for sharing the link Randy. I've been working on human modeling for some time now, and although I'm not going about it the same way as that tutorial, the ideas are similar. It's amazing how many different ways one can build something in 3d - especially a human. Subdivision modeling is probably the best approach for anything organic.
Here's another human subdivision modeling tutorial. This one is for LightWave, but as Randy pointed out, the concepts can be used with any 3d program (that has subdivision modeling).
