"Rumely" was a photorealism project created in 1998 using Strata StudioPro2.5.3
After the model was constructed, multiple texture layers were used to give the thresher detail and color. The foreground and background that stage Rumely is a composite using two photographs from the island of Hawaii. The position and perspective of the Rumely model was adjusted to match the composite photos then it was exported to Photoshop for post production. To help position the shadows under the thresher Strata's ShadowCatcher Module was used.

Ron,
that's a 'class A' rating. Just perfect. Excellent textures.
Question: the blur of the background with the speed limit sign - was it on purpose (gaussian blur) or just coincidence?
This is definitely one for the Hall of 3D Fame!

Great attention to detail Ron. Excellent quality.
I think we need to add a "Gallery" to this forum.
Anyone else think this would be a good idea?
We could then separate "gallery" type posts from general questions. Maybe in the not-so-distant future, we could also add a specific forum section geared toward a 'mini tutorial' type of format...?
What say thee Sir Gary?!

Yes there was some blur added to the sign, and to the background as a whole. This was done to add depth and to bring the viewers eyes forward onto the thresher model.

At first I look and think that not real but I look again and wow. Pretty cool and so lifelike

All that "wear & tear" really adds to the photorealism.

I agree about the gallery, but I also would like a 3D forum etcetera at the onlinedesign school as there are some quakes predicted.
err...Mark, my best friend ( ) , are you listening?
If you don't work against time, time often works for you.
