Hello
Textures are needed for 3d
so I want to share textures
that I've been made training painter
If You people will like it I can post about 50÷60 more.
Most of them are variations about metal, rust, plaster, sand...
Of course I can do some diferend f.e. brick etc.
If people will need them
we can do like that:
(to not cram server)
I will post one per f.e. every monday
and you moderators will delete last old post.
Original size majority of them is 800x800
but maybe 500x500 or less will be sufficient.
So tell me people how do you think ?
good or bad idea ?
maybe you dont need more textures...

I can always use more textures! I can model, but I have zero skills at creating my own textures, and zero time to learn. I use I-Tex to make some, but I'm never really as satisfied with the results as I am with this type of "photographic" texture.
I assume it's tileable (?) I will try it out.
Are you considering these royalty-free?
Thanks Volv, I think it's a great idea, and you can get the satisfaction (and hopefully the credit) of seeing some of your textures on some of our work.

Always on the lookout for more good textures.

OK
I feel I will do that
not too many answers (thanx for these are)
but also no objections
I can make them tileable - if you want
Just now tell me:
how big it should be:
800x800
600x600
400x400
?

Bigger is always better, except for download speed, but if you're posting one at a time, that shouldn't be a problem either.
When a texture is large, one can always scale it down, either in Photoshop or directly in the 3d app. Smaller textures present problems. I have used 1220 x 1220 textures, and they work out great.
So, as large as possible, and thanks again!

You could put a group of textures in a zip for a lot less downloading time!
